NEW YORK, August 26, 2009.  Alterian (LSE: ALN) the leading international integrated marketing platform provider and Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS), a worldwide information technology services and solutions company, today announced that two new service providers have adopted the marketing automation appliance that the two companies jointly deliver.

Leading U.S. based direct marketing agencies Targetbase and KnowledgeBase Marketing have adopted the appliance to help deliver more impactful, flexible and cost-effective marketing campaigns to their clients.

The announcement was made at the Alterian Engaging Times Summit in Chicago.

The Alterian solution, running on a Unisys ES7000 enterprise server, is designed to provide database marketers with a cost-effective way to accommodate large prospect database environments at a fraction of the cost of traditional legacy solutions.  The appliance introduces greatly improved speed for marketers with benchmarking tests showing that the tool can reduce campaign cycle times by as much as 200 percent, while also reducing total cost of ownership over traditional legacy solutions by as much as 40+ percent.
