BHFThe British Heart Foundation uses Alterian Content Manager to drive its teen-focused website, www.yheart.net.  Fresh, fun and funky the new site is the UK's only website dedicated to serving information on heart conditions to teenagers.  A source of facts and knowledge for teenage heart condition sufferers, www.yheart.net also provides teens with a crucially important place to hook into a community of peers with whom they can network, message and interact. They used the Alterian Content Manager to create this website.

The British Heart Foundation wanted to revamp their old website with outstanding youth centric design and interactive features.  They used Content Manager to create www.yheart.net, a destination site for teenagers, because of the scalable, easy to use content management functionality.  It allowed the non-technical promotional and marketing team to edit and maintain the site on a daily basis.  Serving information relevant to teenage heart conditions from smoking and drugs, to animated clips of the heart in action, the new website even boasts events, interactive games and competitions alongsie a secure forum and community area designed speciafically to provide a safe arena in which teens can communicate.

The British Heart Foundation is dedicated to providing the best possible care for those with heart conditions and this commitment to quality is echoed throughout www.yheart.net.  Designed using a teenage test group during the pilot, the British Heart Foundation wants the forums and secure networking areas of the website to become an established resource for teens with heart conditions.

British Heart Foundation uses the flexibility of Content Manager to deliver a richer web experience including Site Surveys,  Suggest a Poll forms and content-managed a 'Quiz of the month' competitions.

Nicki Cooper, Head of Heart Health at the BHF said; "We wanted to create a website that spoke to teenagers and that's why we involved teams of teenage pilot testers for different sections.  They told us what they wanted to see on the website, and that's why it's full of useful stuff about the heart and what we can do to keep it in the best condition we can."
